The City of Sacramento recently completed additional traffic calming improvements, such as establishing four-way stops at a couple of intersections and installing street medians, in south Midtown.
Below is a map of the recent improvements (may not include all of the improvements, but just the ones I encountered). Ping me if I missed something within the area’s vicinity, and I’ll add it.

It should never be understated just how important sitting spaces are for urban environments. And they’re not just for humans.
As evident in the pictures, even cats enjoy good sitting spaces, especially this particular bus stop bench in Midtown Sacramento furnished by Sacramento Regional Transit District.

The Sacramento Central YMCA (2021 W Street, Sacramento) is hosting the 10th Annual YMCA Senior Health Fair on Wednesday, 14 September 2011 (9:30-11:30AM PST).
Over 55 community organizations will participate in this free event, providing resources about health, nutrition, housing, legal service, and emergency and transportation services for seniors, as well as offering blood pressure checks, lung function tests, flexibility exercises, and basic hearing tests.
